Team Overview - Week 18

Week 18, Meeting 1:
Date: 06/10/2010
Time: 11:00am until 11:20am
Staff present: Andrew Williams, Amanda Dewhurst
Location: C2 – 08

In today's team meeting, Andrew and Amanda gave some good advice regarding both the group and individual reports. The deadlines for both were given and all team members were de-briefed on what is to be required.

Andrew also brought to attention that if we're to present lecturers work during our team meetings, sending an email beforehand with the document as an attachment may be a good idea. This will help give lecturers more time to view the work completed and provide useful feedback.

Items addressed:
i. Project Deadlines.
ii. Team and Individual Reports.
iii. Reviewing work and receiving feedback.

Week 18, Meeting 2:
Date: 07/10/2010

This week had the team perform the Milestone II Presentation to both Brian and Phil. Presenters Lewis and Adam discussed the work completed throughout the Milestone; including the environmental studies, character creation and level building. Who are we?

Team Fable is a group of five students working on their 'Level 3 Team Project' at the University of Bolton.

All posts and work uploaded to this blog will be monitored by assessors and all content will count towards the teams final mark.

What is our aim?

Our project aim is to research the usage of non-playable characters in games and investigate what drives player reactions to them.

By researching into this, we hope to evolve storytelling in games by defining the characteristics players find most compelling in NPCs, ultimately leaving with more engaging characters.

What are our roles?

The team roles are as follows:

Kyle Cherry - Research & Documentation.
Lee Sparkes - Human Resources.
Lewis Morgan - Level Design Lead.
Adam Parker - Art Design Lead.
Stephen Austin - Testing Lead.

Despite having specific lead roles, all members in the group will contribute to all areas of the project.
