Considering the nature and intention of our test I thought it may be useful to examine examples of betrayal done well in video games. To this end I decided to do an analysis of betrayal through looking at the Legacy of Kain series, which can be found here.
Considering that we want our betrayal to work out, having a realistic one to draw from may be useful.
If this one turns out to be useful there are plenty more examples in the series that can be analyzed later.
