Team Overview - Week 28

Week 28, Meeting 1:
Date: 15/12/2010
Time: 10:00pm until 10:25pm
Staff present: Andrew Williams, Amanda Dewhurst
Location: C2 – 08

In this weeks meeting with Andrew and Amanda, the team received feedback on a couple of sections included in the final report. Both lecturers provided some excellent feedback, giving advice on how to  better word particular sections of the report and what elements we could add / alter to potentially receive higher grades. After the meeting, team members took into account all of the feedback given and amended the report where appropriate.

Both Andrew and Amanda stressed that individual reports are also handed in after the Christmas break, advising team members to work with them over the upcoming three week holiday.

Week 28, Meeting 2:
Date: 16/12/2010

As mentioned last week, the next meeting with Brian and Phil has been postponed until after Christmas as currently, no discussion is needed. The team was however happy to learn that for our final presentation, Milestone V, we have received an A (80) grade.

No more weekly overviews will be posted until after Christmas, with Week 29 acting as a summary of all work completed during the holiday.

Items addressed:
i. Group Report.
ii. Feedback.
iii. Individual Reports.

Who are we?

Team Fable is a group of five students working on their 'Level 3 Team Project' at the University of Bolton.

All posts and work uploaded to this blog will be monitored by assessors and all content will count towards the teams final mark.

What is our aim?

Our project aim is to research the usage of non-playable characters in games and investigate what drives player reactions to them.

By researching into this, we hope to evolve storytelling in games by defining the characteristics players find most compelling in NPCs, ultimately leaving with more engaging characters.

What are our roles?

The team roles are as follows:

Kyle Cherry - Research & Documentation.
Lee Sparkes - Human Resources.
Lewis Morgan - Level Design Lead.
Adam Parker - Art Design Lead.
Stephen Austin - Testing Lead.

Despite having specific lead roles, all members in the group will contribute to all areas of the project.
